The Sweet Lorry delivers products to addresses in the UK only at this time

After placing your order, you should receive a confirmation email. This will be sent to the email address you submitted at checkout. If this doesn’t happen, please contact us on thesweetlorry@gmail.com

We really want our gift boxes and hampers to reach you in perfect condition and go to great lengths to package them carefully. However, once a parcel has left our premises, we cannot control what happens to it. If your parcel happens to arrive in a damaged condition that has affected the quality of the product inside, we want to know about it. Again, please email us at thesweetlorry@gmail.com

We always do our utmost to get your sweets to you as quickly as possible. We use UPS as our courier and pay them a fee to deliver them to you by close of business on the next working day, anywhere in the UK, provided you have ordered before 10.00 AM on the previous working day. However, delays can occur, or component items might be out of stock, in which case we need to either order them in from a different supplier or source similar items. However, if this is the case we will still endeavour to deliver them to you within three to five working days.

We charge you a flat fee of £4.99 per completed transaction at checkout, but the ‘next day, to be signed for’ courier fee is actually higher than this. Unlike some retail companies who make extra money out of delivery charges, we make up the difference in cost ourselves as we want to try and get our gifts to you by the next day if at all possible – especially in hot weather (see below) - and don’t want to pass the full cost on to our customers.

Any heat-sensitive items shipped in hot weather are entirely at your own risk, and we cannot replace items that melt or are otherwise heat damaged in transit. This is another reason why we subsidise the ‘next day’ delivery charge, so as to try and get our products to you as quickly as possible.

Dependant on payment and stock availability we will ship items the same day.

We will make every effort to deliver within three to five working days, but we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. If the products are not delivered within this estimated delivery time, please contact us on thesweetlorry@gmail.com and we will try and ensure that you receive your order, as quickly as possible, or, if you wish, you may cancel your order and we will refund the money you have paid.

Addresses
We can only make a delivery to the address you request on the order. This is especially the case for deliveries to large businesses or hospitals. We will guarantee the item is delivered to the address given.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.  Please note that we cannot guarantee cancellation of any order and orders cannot be cancelled once dispatched.

We reserve the right to cancel an order by written notice to you if we are prevented from fulfilling it by any event beyond our reasonable control, including without limitation any technical error, any unavailability of raw materials, components or products, or any power failure, industrial dispute affecting any third party, governmental regulations, fire, flood, disaster, riot, terrorist attack or war. In such circumstances, a full refund will be given.

Returns and Refunds Policy (for Damaged or Faulty Goods)
Due to the edible and perishable nature of our products, we can only offer a refund or replacement for products that are proven to be damaged or faulty. In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you do not otherwise have a right to cancel your order or any contract between us and we are not otherwise able to offer refunds or allow for a return of any items ordered.

If we need to inspect any goods claimed as faulty, then we retain the right to request their return by recorded delivery. If the fault is agreed, a full refund will be given for the price paid for the returned goods as well as for the cost of the postage (on provision of the postage receipt). Any refund given would be via the same method used to make the original payment, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
